Reducing Congestion at the Transfer Station - Please Help

Residents have recently expressed concern about increased congestion at the Transfer Station, particularly between the recycling bins and the trash compactor and "still good" table. It has come to our attention that some individuals are parking for extended periods. To address this issue, Transfer Station employees beginning today will be limiting parking in any traffic area to no more than five minutes. We appreciate that some residents enjoy browsing at the "still good" table and catching up with fellow residents, but see an overriding need to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of traffic as a higher priority. In discussing this issue with staff, they would also like to ask residents to avoid parking vehicles directly in front of the trash compactor entrance that is open as it slows access for others carrying their trash to the compactor.
